FARGO GLASS & PAINT is Hiring a Wholesale Sales Manager Near Sioux Falls, SD

Join FGP as a Sales Manager and become an Employee Owner! 

Summary: Manage all aspects of the outside sales force and work with department managers to meet company sales objectives.

This is a salaried position with a range of $80,000-$100,000 depending on years of experience with future opportunities for additional compensation incentives as well as a potential bonus based on overall sale performance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Amount of Travel Required: 30-50%
  • Manage your department in a professional manner
  • Supervise, motivate and monitor the performance of sales force
  • Coach and council sales force as needed
  • Recruit, hire and train sales force to develop the best trained, professional sales team possible
  • Set objectives--Plan, organize, direct and control your sales staff to meet these objectives
  • Set realistic sales objectives for each member of sales staff and create an action plan to achieve objectives
  • Monitor each salesperson’s performance and compare to the established goal of your action plan
  • Recognize those who are on or above forecasted objectives, and help those who are below to get them back on target
  • Maintain contact between Department Managers and sales staff
  • Work with Department Managers to develop sales goals and product promotions within each department and coordinate sales meetings
  • Report progress of current promotions to each Department Manager to discuss possible adjustments if needed
  • Work with Department Managers to resolve customer complaints regarding sales force or service issues
  • Maintain contact between customers and sales force
  • Advise customers on company policies and operating procedures to ensure effectiveness of business.
  • Allocate territories to outside sales force
  • Maintain comprehensive and detailed knowledge of company products
  • Assist Department Managers in conducting sales meetings

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in business, sales, management, or related field, 4-year degree preferred, and 5-7 years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Company’s insurance. The individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
  • Ability to facilitate completion of a work assignment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word
  • Ability to take care of the customer’s needs while following company procedures
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal
