 Our Paralegal is an integral part of any litigation team. They work closely with attorneys, filing documents in court and organizing briefs for trial preparation as well as preparing exhibits such as depositions from reports compiled by reporting services or other stakeholders involved during the discovery period through post-trial proceedings, including appeals if necessary.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated and skilled Paralegal to ensure smooth processing of litigation cases. The successful candidate will be able to audit all phases of the litigation process including client interviews, legal research, documentation, trial requirements, and more. 

  • Review pre-claim investigations, legal research, and initial case assessments.
  • Audit case pleadings, motions and appellate documents.
  • Perform administrative duties (organize case files, manage logistics, etc.).
  • Ensure correct preparation of federal and state administrative filings.
  • Review and organize pleadings and discovery indexes.
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
  • Audit trial and arbitration preparations, management of trial exhibits and other trial related procedures.
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources, including but not limited to, Lexis and Westlaw research.
  • Create and maintain case process checklist to ensure proper case procedure.
  • Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
  • Ensure compliance to all company Policies, Procedures, and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Proven 3 years working experience as a Paralegal.
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in Personal Injury law as a Litigation Paralegal.
  • Experience working with federal/state court litigation cases from onset to trial phase.
  • Familiarity with the rules of federal and state procedures. – knowledge of both FL and GA procedures a plus.
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, Dictaphone, etc.).
  • Knowledge of federal filing systems.
  • Proficiency in English, Bilingual a Plus.
  • Working knowledge of case management software.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; self-motivated.
  • Outstanding time-management and typing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while highly focused and detailed-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, appearance, and compliance to company dress code.
  • Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification preferred.
