Far Field Beer Company, nestled in Lawndale, CA, is currently seeking a full-time taproom manager to join our dynamic team! The taproom manager position will supervise and manage all day-to-day operations in the Far Field taproom. A natural servant-leader that can stay calm under pressure with an Owner mentality and a willingness to roll up sleeves and get “in the trenches” with the team. The position is responsible for ensuring that customers feel welcomed, are informed, and served efficiently. The applicant will monitor inventories, manage the POS system, coordinate special events, develop one-off beers and seltzers with the brew team, and work with the management and marketing team to develop the taproom advertising strategy.

Required Experience

• Three years of craft beer, bartending, or hospitality experience
• Minimum one year of bar or tasting room management experience
• Minimum one year of event coordination experience

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily taproom activities, taproom staff, food partners, and customer experience in the taproom
• Maintain a clean, friendly and welcoming taproom
• Develop and maintain SOP checklists for the tasting room and perform preventative maintenance
• Manage food vendor schedules and tasting room inventory
• Provide excellent customer service
• Handle Taproom Emergency Situations
• Educate customers on beer choices
• Cash drawer management
• Design and implement tasting room events and offsite events
• Plan beer/seltzer lineup and special releases with Head Brewer and Owner
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous brewery, winery, or craft beverage experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous brewery, winery, or craft beverage experience
• Bachelor's degree or a combination of schooling in administration, business, bartending, culinary design, and mixology are advantageous
• Basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing
• Experience using Square POS
• RBS certified
• Cicerone Certification
• Design and photography experience
• Marketing and advertising

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
