Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. Family Services is strongly committed to protecting children and vulnerable individuals from abuse and exploitation. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.
Our Supervised Visitation program has an opening for a part-time Supervised Visitation Specialist in our Appleton office. This position supervises visitations to maintain safety between parents and their children in various locations. Qualified candidate will have an understanding of family support concepts and adhere to child safety and well-being during the visits. Observation and documentation skills are essential for this position as are strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of community resources, and excellent oral, written, and listening skills. A valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation are required. The schedule for this position is 20-29 hours per week. Typical shift is 2pm-7pm for three days per week, and 11am-7pm one day per week. The Specialist will set the days within that schedule and be open to assist coworkers outside the scheduled hours.
This position requires a High School Diploma/GED. Preferred candidates will have an Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field or two years of experience.
