Job Details

Job Location: Thurbers Ave - Providence, RI
Position Type: Part Time
Education Level: 2 Year Degree
Salary Range: $19.00 - $23.62
Travel Percentage: Up to 25%
Job Shift: Day

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community we serve in!

Position Summary: Provides operational and administrative support for the Hope Division’s non-child welfare affiliated youth serving programs, now focused primarily on runaway and homeless youth. Fosters, builds and directly supports a network of advocates, volunteers, host homes, and community partners dedicated to supporting youth in moving toward housing stability and achievement of life goals. Fosters collaborative working relationships throughout FSRI and across community partners and potential funders. Contributes to the vision and expansion of the Hope Division’s youth serving continuum and assists with resource development.

Qualifications:

  • The qualified candidate will possess an Associate or higher Degree or 3 to 5 years equivalent experience working with youth, foster care, or other low-income families in a mental health, housing, juvenile justice, or social service environment.
  • Project management experience, as well as working collaboration with community providers preferred.
  • Ability to work a full-time, hybrid, flexible schedule to meet program needs.
  • FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving.
  • FSRI includes pay incentives for bilingual staff.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation required.
  • Strong organizational and communication (i.e., written, verbal, and presentation) skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to take initiative and work collaboratively as part of a team preferred.
  • Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.

Physical Requirements: This position requires community visits. Employees in this position must have the ability to:

  • Travel to and from community locations and office sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators. Work may include standing/walking throughout the day.
  • Occasional national travel required to attend annual funder meetings and conferences of interest.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.
