The Development Manager oversees and executes Family Service Lincoln’s annual development calendar, working with agency leadership and programs as assigned. This position is responsible for researching, drafting, and managing grant submissions along with managing donor correspondence and accounts through the agency’s CRM platform. Additionally, the Development Manager will lead community giving days and represent Family Service Lincoln at events and giving functions focusing on rapport building and establishing a reputation of quality donor engagement.

What we ask:
Provideoversight to the creation and execution of the agency’s development calendar, incorporating recurring funding opportunities, community events, and campaigns.
Lead the researching, drafting, and submission of grant opportunities in line with the established development calendar and as assigned by agency leadership.
Assistin researchand engagement of prospective foundations and private donors.
ManageFamily Service Lincoln’s donor CRM, tracking donations and maintaining current donor records.
Leaddonor engagement efforts and send prompt, thorough, meaningful follow-ups and receipts.
Seeks out and represents the Family Service Lincoln at community giving events and days.
Assistwith Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI), accreditation efforts, and fund development metrics and outcomes tracking.
Participateas an active member in assigned agency committees.
Follow and promote awareness of the agency’s mission, policies, program philosophy, and guidelines.
Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions (Microsoft Office 365 Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of foundation and funding sources within Lincoln and the State of Nebraska.
Strong writing skills with experience drafting grant applications and reports.
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on donor engagement and rapport development.
Knowledge of donor engagement and management through CRM systems.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree in copywriting, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field is highly desired. Commensurate work experience may be substituted for formal education. A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience executing similar administrative tasks is required.
