Family Service Assoc Brand is Hiring a Clinician II (Behavioral Health) Near San Antonio, TX

Job Title:  Clinician II (Behavioral Health)

Location:  Main Office / 702 San Pedro Ave / San Antonio, TX 78212

Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (some evenings/weekends may be required)

The Clinician II serves in a professional counseling capacity to deliver behavioral health services on behalf of the
agency for the clients that are enrolled, while integrating evidence-based and best practices and strategies
associated with neuroscience, trauma informed care, dual generation practices and resiliency, while ensuring that
services provided are in alignment with the Social Determinants of Health through a trauma informed care lens
as defined by the agency. The Clinician II carries a full clinical caseload with the appropriate case mix of
shorter and longer term cases, accompanied by regular supervision. Counseling program services are provided
in the client’s home, office and/or in various community-based locations.

Additional compensation may be considered for English/Spanish proficiency.

Essential Functions:

  1. Ensures that clients have access, as needed, to all five pillars of the social determinants of health with a trauma informed lens through Agency services and/or community partners.
  2. Achieve a minimum of 62% direct service productivity standards based on an agency definition of Direct Service while carrying either a full caseload with no additional duties or a modified caseload when assigned other duties such as community visibilities, stakeholder meetings, community collaborations and/or agency related initiatives.
  3. Assists with scheduling appointments and on call responses (as applicable): inputting into scheduling systems, assisting with intake referrals, scheduling regular ongoing client sessions aligned with service plan goals.
  4. Completes clinical assessments – standardized, family, and/or biopsychosocial assessments.
  5. Creates behavioral, intervention, service or treatment plans to include comprehensive measureable goal setting and tracking progress, completes appropriate ongoing documentation, completes case closure and other required forms.
  6. A minimum 75% of clients on assigned caseload at initial to end of performance period will demonstrate improvement using standardized testing (pre and post).
  7. Carries out plans working directly with clients (individuals), family, groups, couples, or teachers/providers, caregivers by providing clinical services (office, home, classroom, and other settings), AND providing psychoeducation, case management support, and crisis counseling to include intervention and stabilization based on crisis evaluation(s), and making referrals as needed with follow-up.
  8. Maintains clinical records and documentation in accordance with agency standards and contract requirements and achieve 80% Quality Assurance Compliance at initial review and a minimum of 90% post review.
  9. Receives monthly supervision with assigned supervisor and reviews/staffs cases with clinical supervisors and/or other clinicians (keeping supervisor informed of updates to help track progress and modify interventions on a quarterly basis.
  10. Enters required data into appropriate system (database – ex: client track, compulink, Childplus, including billing and scheduling, etc.) ensuring compliance with full utilization and with agency and to contract standards and expectations at all times.
  11. Maintains ongoing clinical training (workshops, in-service, conferences, consultations) industry personal licensures/certifications.
  12. Provides court ordered documents and/or testimony as subpoenaed and following agency protocol.
  13. Provide professional and information presentations to community collaborators and as requested.
  14. Integrates best and evidence-based practices as applicable and/or as required by contracts and complies with agency and clinical professional practice and standards.
  15. Provides supervision of interns working on graduate degree, if applicable.
  16. Participates in various internal and external meetings, staffings and consultations e.g. child protective services, school, contractual, peer consultations, multidisciplinary staffings and/or ARD meetings, etc.
  17. Maintain good relationships with stakeholders (including current and potential clients, community and co-workers), focusing on providing excellent and culturally sensitive customer service and presenting a positive image of the agency in all community and stakeholder interactions.
  18. Provides regular ongoing supervision as required by agency and licensing standards for assigned LMFT-A’s, LPC-Interns, LMSW’s or other assigned staff.
  19. Maintain a working environment which encourages mutual respect, promotes respectful and congenial relationships between employees and is free from all forms of harassment.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned, including presentations to community groups and organizations, in accordance with the agency’s “team” philosophy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training/Experience:

  1. Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social work or other related areas.
  2. Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate state agency preferred. The Clinician II must hold at least one of the following: (1) LPC or LMFT and must have an active CAQH listing (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare database), AND an active Medicaid approved credentialing. (2) LCSW and must have an active CAQH listing (Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare database) AND Medicare approved. (3) LMSW while actively working on the LCSW with appropriate documented clinical supervision
  3. Two years post masters experience.
  4. Prefer fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak) desirable.
  5. Staff will be required to submit proof of their vaccination status or may request to be exempt from vaccination due to a religious and/or medical accommodation.
  6. Certificate or license, as applicable, by the appropriate State agency as a qualified practitioner.
  7. State of Texas vehicle operator’s license and proof of liability insurance.
