Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels (FPGNB), an affiliate of the national Family Promise program, is dedicated to preventing and ending family homelessness in the Greater New Braunfels area through a community-based response. Executive Director Job Objective:
Oversee all aspects of Family Promise of Greater New Braunfels to ensure the high-performing organization has the necessary resources to deliver on its mission. This position will maintain positive relations with partner entities, stakeholders, investors/ donors, and media outlets. The ED will also ensure the operational effectiveness of the organization and provide inspiration, leadership and vision to staff, board members, and volunteers.
Community Relations:
Increase positive awareness for FPGNB.
o Ensurebrochuresandnewslettersareprofessionalandaccurate.
o Maintainwebandsocialmediapresence.
o RepresenttheAffiliatetothemedia,government,corporations,andothernonprofitpartners.
o Buildrelationshipswithandregularlycommunicatewithsupportingagencies.Actively
participate in providers’ groups and other forums. Meet with community organizations to
inform them of FPGNB.
Maintain positive community partner relations.
o Leadrecruitmentofnewcommunitypartners
o Ensurevolunteersaretrained,effectiveandsatisfiedwiththeirexperience(backgroundchecks,
training, appreciation, scheduling, engagement).
o EnsureAffiliateupdatesarecommunicatedtocommunitypartnersandfeedbackissolicited from the partner network.
o Handleanyissues/emergenciesswiftlyandcompassionately(acongregationexitingthe network, a volunteer challenge, a legal/insurance issue, etc.)
Board Relations:
Engage with various committees to execute organizational goals, engage individual members to utilize skill/expertise for the betterment of the organization, recruit new members.
o Providenetworkreportsformeetingsandactivelyparticipateinstrategicdiscussionofthe organization’s future.
o WorkwithBoardPresidenttosetmeetingagendas.Workwithboardcommitteesasnecessary to follow-up on identified action items.

o WorkwithFinanceCommitteetoexecuteannualaudit,presentannualbudget,andprovide monthly financial summaries.
Case Management
Supervise Case Management team or provide case management: set and ensure FPGNB meets organizational outcomes, programs have resources to deliver on its missions, families are cared for, handle any family crisis swiftly and compassionately.
o Createandimplementprogramstoenhanceservicesprovidedtofamilies.
o Supervisecasemanagersandprovideadditionalsupporttofamilies.
o CreatepartnershipsinthecommunitythatwillfacilitatepositiveoutcomesforFPcase
management (landlords, employers, nonprofit partnerships, etc.) o Superviseinternsasneeded.
Management:
Lead a high-preforming organization: volunteer, board, and staff management.
o Hireandsupervisestaffandvolunteersasorganizationresourcesallowinconsultationwith
appropriate Board of Director members.
o Conductstaffreviewsandprovidesupervisionandfeedbackasnecessarytohaveahigh-
performing team.
