This is a per diem on site position with a varied flexible work schedule which could include evening shifts, Saturday's and evenings.
Position Summary:
Assures patient education concerning medications, assure accurate medication dispensing
to patients. Fills orders and prepare labels. Assists patients by collecting patient information and taking
prescription orders in person and over the telephone.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Maintains working knowledge of and adhere to the program Manual, agency handbook and Policies
and Procedures

▪ Attends all required trainings as per Agency Policy, Program Manual and Funder Guidelines.
▪ Arrives on time for work, remains at work for whole shift, regular and predicable attendance.
▪ Maintains appropriate boundaries and ethical standards with staff, clients, visitors’ and outside
providers as detailed in Agency Policy.
▪ Maintains positive and professional working relationship with co-workers, managers, clients, visitors
and outside providers
▪ Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills
▪ Excellent computer skills (included but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

PROGRAM SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
▪ Understands regulations and implements protocols to maintain compliance with regulations.
▪ Assures staff compliance with FHCW and MA pharmacy protocols and regulations.
▪ Recommends appropriate stocking levels and may order supplies or pharmacy stock.
▪ Understands and observes requirements for continuing education.
▪ Documents all transactions accurately and thoroughly.
▪ Conforms to compliance standards of 340B.
▪ Institutes and follows quality assurance protocols.
▪ Participates in pharmacy development efforts, and serves as a resource for health center performance
improvement activities.
▪ Establishes protocols to maximize participation in manufacturers’ free medication programs.
▪ Assures culturally and linguistically appropriate interpretation to patients.
▪ Attends and participates in meetings and trainings as required by FHCW.
▪ Any and all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be
considered for the position:
Education And Experience
BS degree in pharmacy sciences required.
PharmD. preferred
A minimum of two years of pharmacy
management and operations experience preferred.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills And Certification Required:
Must have current and unrestricted Massachusetts License
