Job Overview:

We are seeking an Optometric Assistant to join our team and assist in providing exceptional eye care services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare and excellent customer service skills.

Duties:

- Assist optometrists in conducting eye exams and vision tests
- Perform preliminary screenings, including vital signs and medical history documentation
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries
- Utilize retail math skills for optical sales transactions
- Maintain aseptic technique standards in handling optical equipment
- Handle medical records accurately and ensure patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical billing procedures

Requirements:

- Knowledge of optometry or willingness to learn about optical procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is a plus
- Proficiency in using front desk software systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
