Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription and style preferences
- Take accurate measurements to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frames to help them make informed decisions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records related to prescriptions and orders
- Work closely with the optometrist to ensure seamless patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of optical equipment and tools
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures and HIPAA regulations
- Strong understanding of vital signs and basic anatomy
- Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
