Family Extended Care of Springhill Assisted living and Memory Care. is Hiring a Wellness Coordinator Near Spring, FL

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Wellness Director: LPN preferred but not required.

  • Serve as liaison between resident, family, physician and other health care providers regarding health care issues;
  • Participate in resident and family care conferences;
  • Perform hands-on care procedures within the scope of practice as allowed by state law and in compliance with Family Extended Care.
  • Performs resident rounds multiple times daily to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care;
  • Reports daily to the Executive Director for any and all issues, concerns and updates on residents.
  • Ensure that resident care is provided in a safe and effective manner while consistently maintaining resident dignity, choice, privacy and respect;
  • Coordinates and oversees the ordering of resident specific and departmental health related supplies;
  • Recruiting and hiring of qualified care staff employees;
  • Maintain a current knowledge of OSHA and state regulations and routinely monitor community compliance with regulations related to resident care;
  • Maintain responsibility for development, implementation, modification and communication of all resident assessments and care plans;
  • Manages all aspects of state or federal government survey processes for resident care.
  • Ensure sound infection control practices are in place that promote a healthy environment and ensure all required infection control training is met; proper medication pass daily.
  • Direct staff to provide quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards;
  • Assure the completion of staff schedules with ongoing monitoring of schedules to assure staffing requirements are met and documentation is kept in compliance with the state rules and regulations.
  • Attends all staff meetings, staff development programs and continuing education programs as required
  • Adhere to all Department, Administrative and Personnel Policies & Procedures
  • Perform monthly vitals and weights for each resident and record this information.
  • Review, update and ensure all documentation required for residents charts are updated and accurate and survey ready at all times.
  • Review all daily medication observation records ensuring medications are ordered and delivered on time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
