Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) provides integrated medical and behavioral health care to clients in a community based setting.
Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) is part of a multidisciplinary team. Under supervision and within agency policy and clinical standards, this position will provide services to produce optimal outcomes for CCBHC SMI and COD clients discharging from inpatient to outpatient services. Services are provided primarily in Crisis Care Center assisting in completing enrollments with newly admitted clients to facilitate successful hospital discharge to transition to outpatient care with the team and may also include community based services.
The Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) provides peer support services, based on an individualized, recovery-focused service philosophy that allows individuals the opportunity to learn to manage their own recovery and advocacy process. The PRSS will work to enhance the development of natural supports, coping skills and other skills necessary to function as independently as possible in the community, including, but not limited to assisting re-entry into the community after incarceration, a hospitalization or other institutional setting. The PRSS performs a wide range of tasks to assist consumers in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. The PRSS is embedded at Crisis Care Center facility and will assist the client in completing necessary forms for intake and enrollment in outpatient services. Must possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics and interactions with all ODMHSAS stakeholders.

Drug Free Workplace Policy
This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children’s Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
