Under limited supervision, the Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical condition of agency owned properties and grounds to ensure a safe and reliable work environment for staff and visitors primarily at the Legacy Tower West, but will be going to all F&CS locations (owned or leased) as required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities
Maintain data base record of all major equipment and systems repairs and maintenance
Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC
Site Safety and Security
Facility Standards of appearance
Employee Moves/Changes
Assist in internal office moves and relocation of furniture. Communicates all move request to Director of Facilities and Risk Management.
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Five (5) years similar experience. Must be able to physically lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. Ability to work with the public, ability to maintain an effective working relationship with agency employees, ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and ability to maintain confidentiality. Must carry cellular phone during working hours and after hours. Must possess an Oklahoma Driver's License and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. Must obtain 1st Class Stationary Engineer (limited) license within 42 months of employment.
This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the “safety-sensitive” classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family & Children’s Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment
