Youth Support Worker

$12/hour (10 hours/week)

SCHEDULE: (Determined on a case by case basis) 

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Increase access to mental health, addiction and youth empowerment programming within underserved communities. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate with local providers to bring services to the center, including but not limited to: educational activities, mental health services, parenting/caregiver outreach services, suicide prevention programming and other program programming, preferably evidence based, targeting at risk and underserved. 

2. Ensure safety and security measures and policies are followed.

3. Complete all necessary documentation as grant/funding program requires in a timely manner.

4. Represent the agency/program to the public in a positive and energetic manner.

5. Comply with all grant requirements, including evaluation and ensuring objectives are met.

6. Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

7. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Ohio Driver’s License.

2. Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal back ground check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present, and the aptitude to develop effective relationships.

4. Strong computer skills.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience with children required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position will require ability to participate in physical activities.
