Family Allergy & Asthma is looking for a detail oriented Benefits and Eligibility Specialist to join our team!

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Landis Lakes office - 139 South English Station Road, Suite 200, Louisville, KY 40245

Schedule: Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay: $16 - $18 / hour
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verification of eligibility and benefits for new patients and specific follow-ups
• Maintain documentation of activities in practice management system and/or other electronic files as requested by director
• Assist with general duties in Financial Services such as, phone and patient assistance, special projects, etc.
• Maintain and follow HIPAA policies and procedures

Competencies, Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Medical Billing Office experience, preferred
• Understanding of deductibles, copays, coinsurance, etc.
• Knowledge of insurance carrier guidelines, deductibles, copays and coinsurance
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10 and CPT) preferred
