Fajita Pete's - Pittsburgh is Hiring a Restaurant Cashier Near Pittsburgh, PA
Restaurant Hours: Monday-Friday 11am-8:30pm; Saturday/Sunday 12pm-8:30pm
Fajita Pete’s stands as a pillar of Tex-Mex authenticity. Born out of a passionate love for Mexican cuisine intertwined with Texas flavors, the restaurant takes pride in preparing most dishes from scratch, using only the freshest ingredients. From the sizzling fajitas to the hearty enchiladas, each menu item at Fajita Pete’s embodies the genuine flavors of Tex-Mex cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Scan and bag items for customers
- Assist with food preparation and handling, as needed
- Upsell additional products or services to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Help with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Follow all food service and safety guidelines
- Sanitize workstations and equipment regularly
Requirements:
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating change
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Prior experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food service or kitchen operations is a plus
