Housekeeper/Laundry

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry to join our team. As a Housekeeper/Laundry, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in our nursing home and in Independent Living Houses/Apartments.

Duties:

• Execute day to day housekeeping assignments efficiently and effectively in compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform isolation cleaning and discard of refuse in appropriate containers.
• Clean laundry or fold clothes as required.
• Work with maintenance department in the deep cleaning that will be done annually to Thames Edge.
• Discard trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles.
• Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies are properly stored at all times to limit risk of injury.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
