Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is Hiring a Membership Coordinator Near Fairfield, OH

Available Position: MEMBERSHIP CARE COORDINATOR

The ideal candidate will possess these skills and characteristics:

  • Ability to connect with potential and existing members with a focus on relational sales and retention
  • Desire to improve the community through a strong Chamber of Commerce
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all media
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to drive with transportation within the local community
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word and Excel
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Able to represent the Chamber in a professional and helpful manner
  • Works well both independently and collaboratively
  • Takes the initiative to prepare for anticipated tasks
  • Experience with platforms such as Canva, WordPress, and Constant Contact a plus

Job Description

Membership tasks:

  • Grow Chamber membership and retention through strong relationships.
  • Achieve recruitment and retention goals set by President and Board
  • Connect with new and existing businesses in the community
  • Communicate with existing members about benefits and programs at the Chamber
  • Participate in welcoming new members through social media, personal connections, etc.
  • Keep membership packets, sales pieces, and other print and digital resources current
  • Generate regular reports for Board of Directors meetings
  • Organize Annual Membership Drive
  • Liaison with SOCA and other benefit providers

Maintain membership database: (CRM)

  • Work with Office Manager on invoicing cycles
  • Connect with lapsed members for retention

Meetings:

  • Organize regular networking lunches and After Hours
  • Create and organize Ambassador program
  • Liaison with Young Professionals Group
  • Attend Board of Directors meetings and others as needed.

Event assistance:

  • Organize and promote events such as ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, grand openings for members
  • Assist with all other events

Fairfield Satisfaction Surveys:

  • Complete 25 surveys of area businesses each quarter
