POSITION SUMMARY :
The Manager, FP&A is responsible for owning the company financial model, ensuring the accuracy of all assumptions and tracking actual vs. expected performance. As a flexible, digitally native brand, Fair Harbor is constantly encountering changes to its business landscape, and the Manager, FP&A ensures that management is aware of the potential financial and business implications of such changes. Additionally, this role works cross functionally on several initiatives, including but not limited to, building departmental operating budgets and contributing to KPI dashboards across all verticals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
•Maintain company financial model, ensuring it remains flexible enough both to respond to material changes in the business and to reflect internal and external operating cases
•Recommend and implement financial model improvements to drive forecast accuracy
•Manage and consolidate the company's planning and forecasting process, including all balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
•Conduct all necessary financial analysis associated with any potential changes in the business (e.g., evaluating the cost of potential new lending facilities, assessing the business impact of new fulfillment center agreements)
•Create ad hoc analysis as needed to support key business decisions across all verticals
•Work cross functionally with leaders of all business units to build and report on monthly operating budgets
•Work closely with Accounting to support close activities and ensure forecast incorporates appropriate accounting policies
•In collaboration with CFO, produce all necessary external financial forecasting / reporting
•In collaboration with CFO, build out and maintain internal data infrastructure and reporting framework, including designing and monitoring KPI dashboards for various departments
SUPERVISION RECEIVED :
•Reports directly to the CFO.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
•May require some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet deliverables.
WORKPLACE LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:
•We operate as a Hybrid work environment, working as a combination of remote and in-office presence.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Experience, Skills, and/or Knowledge :
o Required Experience :
•1-2 years investment banking experience
o Strongly Preferred Experience :
•1-2 years in finance and/or operations role at an early to mid-stage company
oPosition is based in the New York City metro area
oProficient in three-statement modeling with a basic understanding of GAAP
oAdvanced presentation skills (Powerpoint, Google Slides)
oExperience with Business Intelligence tools is a plus
oSelf-starter with the ability to see projects through from start to finish and manage multiple projects simultaneously
