Overview

Seeking Account Engineer to be based in the FM Global Frisco office of Dallas Operations. This individual evaluates and assesses the nature, probability and magnitude of potential losses and communicates this to the client/prospect and account team. The Account Engineer’s role is to prioritize exposures, help the client understand hazards and risk to their business, agree to the mutual strategy and implement the needed changes. Through teamwork with FM Global field engineering, underwriting, claims and new business development, the Account Engineer must foster long-term customer relationships and develop sustainable risk improvement plans that meet both client and FM Global needs.

The account engineer supports FM Global’s KRAs by providing honest and accurate risk assessment and driving risk improvement to reduce the likelihood and severity of client losses; in turn, FM Global can make sound risk selection and underwriting decisions to promote long-term profitability. As an Account Engineer, you are the "trusted advisor" in matters of property risk assessment, loss prevention and managing change.

Responsibilities

The account engineer coordinates and manages the global delivery of FM Global engineering products and services to our clients and is an integral member of the client service team. This individual develops a deep level of understanding about the client’s business, primarily through developing positive relationships at the highest levels of the client’s organization. The account engineer uses this understanding to help the client develop a tailored strategy to handle property risks in a way that supports the client’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall customer engineering relationship and consistently demonstrate the value-added differential of FM Global.

• Accurately assess account-wide risk and clearly communicate conclusions and opinion on risk quality.

• Develop, communicate and execute effective strategies to achieve mutually agreeable risk improvement.

• Acquire tangible risk improvement results in support of corporate objectives.

• Understand and execute the Client Service Process and develop and maintain positive client relationships.

Qualifications

• An experience level of at least Senior Consultant Engineer 
• NatHaz and/or high hazard specialty are preferred.
• Willingness to pursue PE preferred.
• Candidates must possess excellent written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to analyze quantitative data and qualitative feedback to develop accurate risk assessments. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to negotiate and accelerate risk improvement that is recognized as valuable for the client.
• Organizational, problem-solving, decision-making, consulting, computer and teamwork skills are needed to succeed in our collaborative structure.

The salary range for this position is $92,800 to $116,000. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
