Job Summary

FSI would like to hire a general maintenance worker / maintenance mechanic to join our team. This position performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.

Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties as assigned.

• Performs maintenance skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and or hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Replaces electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Uses plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
• Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Paints structures and equipment.
• Replaces or repairs concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles.
• Hangs doors, installs door locks, and replaces broken windowpanes.
• Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NACI/LAC clearance after hire.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces, assist others as part of the maintenance team as required and perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.
