Specialty Surgeons group is looking for an experienced, goal oriented person for our business office team as an Insurance Verification Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain insurance verification and benefits using EHR, payor portals and direct contact with insurance carriers.
• Document insurance benefits using template for office visits and surgeries.
• Obtain in-office procedure authorizations.
• Provide backup for surgical authorizations, and referrals authorizations.
• Interact with physicians and office staff to provide working knowledge of patient benefits.
• Approx. 40 - 60 benefit verifications per doctor clinical day are processed by this position
• Monitor digital fax queue to insure all faxes are successfully sent
• Perform Credentialing for doctors with Insurance Plans.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of insurance verification experience for a specialty group or hospital
• Knowledge with ICD-10 and CPT Coding
• Knowledge of Insurance terminology, including benefits and eligibility
• Exceptional phone customer service skills
• Excellent verbal written communication skills
• Familiar with patient collection and appointment scheduling
• Ability to assimilate quickly
• Ability to process high work volume daily
• Retain highly developed organizational skills
• Bilingual is helpful
