Eye Associates of Georgetown - a family oriented, well-established Optometry practice of 26 years is looking for an additional Optician to add to our already awesome team and optical shop. If you’re a team player excited by the latest eye care technologies and passionate about providing great service, you belong here! We are looking to add an energetic, fashion-forward optician to our family. This dynamic new optician should be comfortable assisting patients with frame selection, helping them choose frames that suit their facial features, personal taste as well as lifestyle and budget.

This a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a private practice emphasizing comprehensive medical eye care, sophisticated product offerings in a boutique setting. Candidates will have the opportunity to use their knowledge and expertise to help create an amazing patient experience. We are seeking a team member with genuine enthusiasm and contagious positivity. Our mission is to provide our family of patients with a world class level of eye care and legendary, memorable customer service. The candidate should realize the importance of this mission and be confident that they can uphold it.

Duties and Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
  • Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
  • Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
  • Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
  • Manage inventory of frames and conduct proper frame board management to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
  • Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues
  • Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear
  • Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
