The Lead Estimator is responsible for leading a discipline team of estimators for various complex projects. Will direct the quantitative development of material, labor, equipment, and subcontract take-offs, as well as the coordination of information among Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and the Client.

• Coordinates information among the project team and Client
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements
• Leads discipline estimator work sequence and internal reviews of their deliverables to meet project demand
• Prepares the total Project Basis of Estimate
• Leads the preparation of Project Estimates and supports the presentation to Executive and Client management teams.

• Develop discipline estimates as necessary to support project demands
• Mentor and provide guidance to assigned discipline estimators. Provide feedback on performance to Discipline Estimating Manager
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Travel to support both project and corporate needs
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• 10 years of progressive experience in construction estimating
• Proven leadership experience in a senior estimating role

• Understands the fundamental concepts of engineering drawings
• Understand and apply AACE Recommended Practices

• MS Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Extensive knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices
