External Opportunities is Hiring a Grants Manager Near Albuquerque, NM

Works independently under the direction of the ARCA Foundation Executive Director and Chief Development Officer (Executive Director) to research, develop, submit and manage grant funding opportunities matching ARCA’s programs and services. Uses a collaborative process to confer with external and internal parties during all phases of grant development and project management upon funding.

Monitor grant-related activities and progress to generate required reports and ensure deliverables are met. Provide guidance to ensure post-award compliance with laws, regulations, policies and/or funding agreements and oversee special audits and site visits conducted by grantor. Must communicate grant proposals or reports with Executive Director. Maintains key positive relationships with funding sources. Performs technical writing as assigned to support ARCA functions and processes, and Requests for Proposals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in communications, English or a relevant social services field or five years experience. Experience working with or representing people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Private foundation and governmental (State and Federal) level grant writing experience preferred. Working knowledge of grant writing/project management processes. Skill in analyzing published opportunities and matching them to the needs of the organization. Must demonstrate a clear ability to listen to feedback from internal departments involved in each grant so that each application has the highest degree of accuracy, fit, and a high likelihood of success when funded. Ability to present both the comprehensive and project specific needs of ARCA in a professional and understandable manner in writing, accurately reflecting agency values and goals. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, effective and concise manner. Must provide internal departments with clear direction on the timelines, goals, desired outcomes, financial tracking, and reporting data that is needed for each grant funding, periodically. Ability to accurately present ARCA’s programs/services to groups of volunteers, external organizations and related parties. Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding to grant application/project timelines. Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, employers, other organizations and the public. Must have current, valid NM driver’s license and good driving record. Computer/technology: Computer skills and experience using Internet/Intranet, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Word, Excel, and database applications is strongly preferred.

Salary: $46,000 to $52,000 per year DOE
