Expression is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer (Infrastructure) to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the Department of Defense. As someone who thinks outside the box, you’ll enjoy creating/ implementing solutions to interesting engineering problems. Using DevSecOps methodologies, you’ll identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies. Rather than performing repetitive manual tasks you’ll find ways to make automation do the heavy lifting. You will code software using industry standard tools, testing frameworks, CI infrastructure, automated deployments, and design scalable maintenance practices. Your experience with Linux as a real time operating system, bash shell, and scripting in languages such as Python will be indispensable assets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Using DevSecOps methodologies, you’ll identify constraints and employ creative solutions to break bottlenecks, improve processes, and create efficiencies
• Rather than performing repetitive manual tasks you’ll find ways to make automation do the heavy lifting
• You will code software using industry standard tools, testing frameworks, CI infrastructure, automated deployments, and design scalable maintenance practices
• Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Collaborate with engineering team to design and implement IaC approach to automate configuration of hardware and software systems
• Collaborate across multiple teams to integrate and deploy containerized services into Kubernetes
• Collaborate with developer and integration teams to ensure smooth deployments

Minimum Experience:

• Top Secret/SCI Clearance or above
• 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role
• Understanding of DevOps principles and methodologies
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• 3 years of experience with IaC tools such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
• 3 years of experience with Kubernetes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Kubernetes deployed on bare-metal servers in a multi-node cluster
