Position Overview:

Explore Academy is in search of a passionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of our students, fostering a spirit of exploration and a love for learning.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing engaging and student-centered lessons that align with Explore Academy's Montessori curriculum.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to excel.
• Assist students in self help skills including cleaning up, dressing, toilet learning, and snack preparation.
• Hold boundaries with students and coworkers to foster a professional workplace.
• Assure our facility cleanliness standards are met daily.

Qualifications:

• Completed or in progress: Child Development Associate's Degree, Montessori Certification, or Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Demonstrated experience in an assistant teaching role with a commitment to ongoing education and professional growth
• Basic understanding of Montessori principles and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to be a dependable and collaborative member of our dynamic team
• Passion for innovation in education and a dedication to fostering student success

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
