Trissential is currently an experienced Salesforce Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer to join our dynamic scrum team in Minneapolis, MN (Remote).

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Quality Assurance Analyst/Engineer to join our dynamic scrum team, taking on full responsibility for a given area.

  • The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Salesforce implementation, using available frameworks and tools and establishing plans for projects with on-time and on-budget project goals.

  • As a Salesforce QA Analyst/Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the development and business teams to plan, design, execute, and report on testing efforts, in line with agreed automation plans and strategies.

Test Planning and Design:

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and user stories.
  • Design comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Identify test scenarios for both manual and automated testing, ensuring full coverage of Salesforce features and processes.
  • Takes responsibility for a certain area and conditions as well as results evaluation, problem resolution and planning.
  • Selects appropriate standards, methods, tools and applications for project use.
  • Applies data analysis and data modelling techniques to modify or maintain a data structure and its associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions
  • Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services.
  • Able to implement already defined regression test strategies.

Test Execution:

  • Perform manual and automated testing of Salesforce functionalities, including but not limited to Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, custom objects, and integrations.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure new enhancements or changes do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
  • Verify data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across different Salesforce modules.
  • Execute system, integration, and user acceptance testing to validate end-to-end business processes.

Defect Management:

  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects found during testing using industry-standard defect tracking tools.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate defect fixes and verify that they meet the acceptance criteria.

Test Automation:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools (e.g., Selenium, Apex Test Framework) to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Works on across scrum teams on automation maintenance and automation backlog items.
  • Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Coordinates the information gathering and reporting process, conducting research to define problems and preparing responses to anticipated questions.
  • Accurately identifies project risks and reports effectively to relevant stakeholders. Manages issues, risks, actions, dependencies, and defects to the success of the project.
  • Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements using the Jira test management tool.
  • Create detailed test reports, summarizing test results, defects, and overall system health.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test cases, testing processes, and best practices for future reference.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve the overall quality of Salesforce applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Required Salesforce Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
  • Strong experience in Salesforce service cloud.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce declarative configuration, including workflows, process builder, validation rules, and formula fields.
  • Experience with Apex code and triggers, as well as Visualforce and Lightning Components.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce APIs and integrations.

Testing and QA/Tools:

  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing of Salesforce applications.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Apex, Java), and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG).
  • Ability to write efficient, reusable, and maintainable test scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience Automating in Java 8 (knowledge of Java 11 would be a plus)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Selenium Automation
  • Experience developing in Maven projects
  • Experience using IntelliJ, Eclipse and Git
  • Knowledge in BrowserStack, Atlassian Suite tools (Bitbucket, Bamboo and Jira) and
  • Web-Services
  • Experience in API automation (2-3 years)

Problem Solving and Communication:

  • Analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose issues effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report testing progress.

Agile and Team Collaboration:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Quality Focus:

  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to ensuring high-quality software products.
  • Ability to advocate for best practices and maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder (preferred).
  • Relevant testing and quality assurance certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
