Trissential is currently seeking a QA Analyst to join our client team in Seattle, WA. This is a 4-month project with the potential for extension. The position can be Remote, but preference will be given to candidates who can be Onsite, with occasional opportunities to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Quality Analyst is a QA team member who understands testing fundamentals and will engage in all activities of the quality lifecycle. This member will foster and enforce Quality Assurance principles and philosophies. They are dedicated agents for continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Participating in new and sustained IT operational projects as a QA team member including:
    • Clarifying requirements.
    • Understanding requirements.
    • Writing test cases based on the requirements.
    • Creating test cycles in the test tool.
    • Ensuring traceability among the above-mentioned items.
    • Manually executing test cases.
    • Logging test results, including screenshots, pass/fail status, and bugs.
    • Providing test results to stakeholders.
    • Reporting on test progress.
    • Refactoring test cases.
  • Verifying features of various software applications and hardware specifications work properly across various devices after updates and deployments.
  • Maintaining the QA lab: troubleshooting accessibility issues and assuring adherence to security standards for various laptop models, mobile phones, and peripherals.
  • Keeping abreast of functionalities of Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS operating systems.
  • Understanding impacts of business decisions on the requirements and associated tasks.
  • Under general supervision, independently working on all assigned tasks.
  • Managing multiple projects and assuming additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Embodying an innovative spirit and a willingness to learn, challenging their own thinking and the thinking of those around them when it will serve to benefit the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of Quality Assurance experience.
  • Agile development methodology experience.
  • Experience with test tools.
  • General knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Quality Assurance certification is a plus.
  • Technically savvy.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Flexible, able to pivot among shifting priorities.

Benefits

Trissential offers a competitive hourly rate for this role, ranging from $50 - $55 per hour in a full time (40 hours per week) capacity. All full-time employees are eligible for company sponsored health benefits, paid time away from work accrual, and 401k with matching.
