Job Description
What you will be doing:
Direct and manage all plant operations including production, quality, safety, warehousing, inventory, and maintenance.
Coordinate plant activities through planning with shift supervisors.
Develop and control production plans and budgets.
Ensure proper inventory of ingredients for plant use and monitor cost metrics for the feed mill.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
Manage the performance of hourly and salaried operations personnel.
Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment and make necessary adjustments or replacements.
Provide leadership and training to staff.
Ensure audit readiness and provide leadership for FSMA and HAACP certification.
Experience you will need:
3 years of experience in manufacturing management.
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
Ability to multitask and work with multiple projects and tasks.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience at working independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
