Our client is seeking a qualified Sheet Metal Mechanic to join their team in Millbury, MA.
This is a temp to hire position with a growing company that will offer years of growth.
Schedule : 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm (Monday-Friday)
Starting Rate : $20.00-$25.00 / Hr (DOE)
- Sets up and operates machines such as drill presses, shears, bending rolls, grinders, and CNC machines such as punch press and a press brake
- Shape and alter sheet metal according to specifications.
- Follows blueprints, rough sketches, and engineer drawings to shape metal accurately.
Skills & Requirements :
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment operation
- Experience with various sheet metal materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and copper
- Ability to accurately measure and cut sheet metal using hand tools and power tools
- Skilled in joining sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, bolting, or riveting techniques
