Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsibility to function as a Quality Supervisor: to follow all TS 16949 and ISO 14001 Instructions. Responsible for maintaining a strong, open, and honest relationship with our customers. Assist in manage customer concerns or complaints. Support production to find the root cause and corrective action so that the non-conformity does not re-surface. To follow the procedures and system to assure that the product or service that Exo-s provides is to design intent and meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations and coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards. Work with the Production staff thought the organization to ensure that the Quality system is functioning properly and that requirement for new or for engineering change is properly understood and followed. Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system and produce data and report on performance, measuring against set indicators. Work with staff throughout the organization to ensure the quality system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, advise on changes and their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality. Assist in maintain the Gage Calibration system.

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following and other duties may be assigned.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL ELEMNETS OF THE JOB

  • Directly supervise all quality department personnel
  • Communicate to the production staff / Program Managers and management staff openly.
  • Manage customer concerns
  • Support production leads / supervisors for interpretation & methods, follow set standards.
  • Assist in Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training
  • Ensure all containments, re-work and deviations are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.
  • Involved in continuous improvement activities within team.
  • Liaison with customers and plant reps to ensure execution of corrective action and compliance with customers’ specifications.
  • Direct audit activities as necessary.
  • Help coordinate the training of production personnel in quality issues and policies
  • Manage notices and instructions to quality department personnel & product books
  • Manage final approval to all quality department functions
  • Implement containment for internal or external non-conforming material
  • Implement guidelines to ensure compliance with standards and documents, interpret and support quality policies.
  • Implement containment for internal or external non-conforming material
  • Conduct regular meetings with the inspection team to maintain consistency and promote team work.
  • Utilize SPC and other statistical tools to improve areas within the QA function.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities within team.
  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization
  • Ensure that customer requirements are addressed.
  • Implement containment for internal or external non-conforming material.
  • Implement best practices throughout the production process.
  • Manage Corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Establish priorities and develop & track departmental KPI’s.
  • Analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters
  • Conducting internal quality audits.
  • Manage the Gage Calibration System
  • Update of Lessons Learned, PFMEA’s, Control Plan’s and Process Flows & work Instructions.
  • Implement GP-12 / Safe launch at the start of new programs or engineering changes (if needed)
  • Corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage supplier SCARS
  • Assist in Managing the Gage Calibration System
  • Manage Incoming receiving Inspection. Manage master samples, gages, mating parts, information in plex.
  • Manage monitoring and measurement of product.
  • Participate in APQP planning through to production launch
  • Additional duties as assigned

AUTHORITY

  • Perform as TS (IATF) representative.
  • Help establish quality standards for processes and products.
  • Disposition of material on hold
  • Stop shipment of product if quality is suspect
  • Stop production to correct quality problems
  • Placement of product on hold
  • Implement containment

EDUCATION / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years experience in Quality Assurance.
  • Team player / good attitude
  • Working knowledge of quality management tools such as SPC, PFMEA, CP, root cause analysis
  • Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably blow molding with a strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerance
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Working knowledge of APQP
  • Managing the quality systems.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • PC Skills to include MS word, excel, power point and ability to create spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
