Overview:
Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton Community School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for instructing students in various mathematical concepts and skills. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Teach students various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, and calculus
- Utilize instructional strategies and resources to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance student understanding
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional materials and strategies
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Previous experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level is desirable
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to students of varying abilities
- Familiarity with instructional design principles and strategies
- Proficiency in using technology for instruction
