Are you looking for a FLEXIBLE, HYBRID, position where you get to set your own schedule and choose your own caseload? Exceptional Wellness, Inc is looking for a talented Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team of exceptional clinicians!
We keep caseloads small so that all of our case managers and RBTs are adequately supported and supervised, and families receive the training they need to maximize their child’s potential. We have high standards for ourselves as individuals and as a company, and holding ourselves accountable allows us to continue to help more families in need while maintaining our exceptional quality.
Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Current Medicaid TPI is preferred but not required.
- 3 years of prior experience working in the behavioral health field or closely related field
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress, as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Ability to support the our agency's culture of excellence through communication, accountability, and positivity
- Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and independently with minimal daily oversight
- Ability to establish rapport with children and families
- Ability to appropriately accept feedback through the supervision process - thus displaying the willingness to learn, grow, and improve
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Well organized and adaptable
- Problem solver mentality
- Competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Go To Meeting, and other software applications
- Collaborate with BCBA to monitor and adjust behavior plans throughout the treatment period in accordance with the child's progression.
- Provide regular parent/caretaker in-person training, as needed
Education and Experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician certification required
- A Master's degree in special education, psychology, or other social services related field, with specialized knowledge of behavioral health, treatment philosophies, and professional practices.
- Possess extensive knowledge and training in behavior analysis.
Additional eligibility requirements:
- Must abide by The Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Technicians on the BACB
- Must abide by HIPAA policies
- Must have reliable transportation, driver's license, insurance, and smartphone
- Work positively and favorably with consumers, families, and staff
- Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude
- Requires strong analysis, judgment, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
