Are you a passionate and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) looking for an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others? We're seeking a dynamic PTA who is ready to bring their enthusiasm, expertise, and compassion to our skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs and goals of each resident.
  2. Provide hands-on physical therapy services to residents under the supervision of licensed therapists, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  3. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate residents' functional abilities, mobility, strength, and balance, and use findings to guide treatment interventions.
  4. Implement individualized exercise programs, therapeutic activities, and functional training to improve residents' physical function, range of motion, and independence in daily activities.
  5. Monitor residents' progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document all interventions, observations, and outcomes accurately and timely.
  6. Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs, mobility aids, and injury prevention strategies to support continued progress and independence after discharge.
  7. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure coordinated care and holistic approach to rehabilitation.
  8. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current on best practices and advancements in physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  2. Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  3. Enthusiastic and compassionate approach to working with residents of all ages and abilities.
  4. Strong clinical skills in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and functional training.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and motivate residents to achieve their therapy goals.
  6. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  7. Adaptability to changing priorities and caseloads, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
  8. Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
