Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents based on their specific needs and goals.
Provide hands-on therapy services to residents in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
Conduct assessments to evaluate residents' functional abilities, identify areas for improvement, and track progress over time.
Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to enhance residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
Educate residents and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive strategies, and assistive devices to promote independence and safety in daily activities.
Document all therapy interventions, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurses, physicians, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care and optimal outcomes for residents.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and in-service training sessions to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current state licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Demonstrated clinical competency in providing occupational therapy services to individuals across the lifespan.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for residents.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and caseloads in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility preferred but not required.
