Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide rehabilitative services to our residents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being and independence of individuals in need of occupational therapy services.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and functional mobility training.
  • Provide support and guidance to residents to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Document progress and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to resident care planning.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in accordance with state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of West Virginia.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
