Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accrual accounting principles.

Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes
- Perform cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and identify potential risks or opportunities
- Ensure compliance with securities laws and regulations in financial reporting
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support cross-functional initiatives
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, such as Sage or other ERP software
- Conduct research on governmental accounting standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Skills:
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accrual accounting methods and techniques
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
