SUMMARY
Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) provides ABA services in the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program including assessments, collect and analyze ABA data, develop individualized treatment plans and provide ABA treatment to individuals. The BCBA also provides supervision to staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR TASKS
a. Conduct and complete Assessments.
b. Complete mandatory trainings.
c. Attend supervision per IBHS guidelines.
d. Develop the ABA sessions and review clinical protocol.
e. Review data and the analyzation of data.
f. Ensure all program rules and regulations are followed.
g. Develop individualized treatment plans.
h. Ensure rooms are prepared and stimulus materials match client treatment goals.
i. Monitor and change, if needed, the treatment conditions to ensure child engagement and progress.
j. Provide family support and trainings as needed.
k. Direct and monitor the treatment sessions.
l. Provide ABA services to the child.
m. Ensure data collection is collected accurately.
n. Analyze data collected.
Maintain compliance with IBHS regulations.
Work cooperatively with families, caregivers, and team members to provide children with the best care and treatment.
Follow Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) guidelines and codes of conduct.
Attend team meetings, as needed
Understands and adheres to established Excentia Human Services policies and procedures.
Maintains ongoing confidential records of client files.
u. Keep informed of new developments in the field of behavior analysis.
v. Provide supervision to behavior technicians per IBHS regulation requirements.
Other job tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / PREREQUISITES
1. COMMUNICATION
a. Ability to effectively communicate with management, and co-workers, clients and parents of clients using understandable language skills in reading, written work and comprehension.
2. SKILLS (Possess the following):
a. Passion to work with individuals and families.
b. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and professional documents.
c. Ability to respond to common inquiries from parents, case workers, or members of the mental health provider community.
d. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
e. Ability to use standard office computer software.
f. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
g. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
h. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
i. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
j. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
k. The employee is frequently required to stand; work; sit; use hands to finger; handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
l. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
m. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
3. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION
A minimum of 2 years experience in providing ABA services; BCBA certification issued by the BACB and be licensed in the Qualifications:
Behavior Analytic: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have a certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
Behavior Consultant-ABA: Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services and have one of the following: A certification as BCaBA or other undergraduate-level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or the equivalent from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or a minimum of 1 year full time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a professional with a certification as a BCaBA or othe graduate level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
Assistant Behavior Consultation-ABA: Qualifications for licensure as a behavior specialist under 49 Pa Code 18.524 or have a certification as a BCaBa or other undergraduate level certification in behavior analysis that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, or related field from an accredited college or university or have a minimum of 6 months experience in providing ABA services and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education or related field and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from a college or university.
4. OTHER
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Child Protective Service Act (Act 33) compliance and FBI clearance, NSOR, Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license/ acceptable driving record.
