Excellence Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse Near Vancouver, WA

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health, including vital signs, medical history, and current conditions. Regularly monitor and document changes in residents' health status.
  2. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, following facility protocols and ensuring residents' safety. Document medication administration and report any adverse reactions.
  3. Wound Care: Provide wound care, dressing changes, and manage other medical equipment as needed for residents with chronic conditions or wounds.
  4. Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as required. Encourage and support residents' independence when possible.
  5. Healthcare Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents in collaboration with registered nurses (RNs) and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor residents' conditions, promptly report any changes or concerns to the RN or healthcare provider, and document all care provided accurately.
  7. Infection Control: Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent the spread of infections within the facility. Educate residents and staff on infection prevention.
  8. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with residents, their families, and other healthcare team members. Provide emotional support to residents and their families during difficult times.
  9. Safety Measures: Ensure residents' safety by identifying and mitigating potential hazards, using proper lifting and transfer techniques, and responding to emergencies appropriately.
  10. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and incident reports.
  11. Education: Stay current with nursing best practices and participate in ongoing training and educational programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Compliance: Adhere to all relevant state and federal regulations, facility policies, and nursing standards of practice.

Requirements

At least one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting, involuntary services experience preferred.
  • Associates degree in nursing required;

  • Current WA state LPN license required;

Current CPR and First Aid and Food Handlers permit, or ability to obtain one within 90 days.

Benefits

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday *rotating on call (may also include evening/weekend) 

No Relo or Sign on

Hiring Bonus: $2000.00: Client prefers to say this is negotiable and talk about it at the offer stage

Shift is Days and some weekends
Night Differential $3.00/HR
