Excelicon is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

Excelicon is looking to hire a sharp, driven, and detail-oriented Project Manager. This position provides direct interaction with clients, leadership opportunity, and ability to showcase one's talents. We are a growing firm looking for individuals to grow with us. 

This position is based in Washington, DC as part of a dynamic team located on site supporting Federal clients. The PM will work to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other Divisions across the organization to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. Ideal candidate will be a creative and dedicated individual who will fit into a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities will include managing client relationships, project scheduling, coordinating and other project tasks. The applicant must demonstrate past experience and success in project management of similar scope and size. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of assigned Tasks 
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels 
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals 
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis 
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members 
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills 

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • PMP
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in federal consulting
  • Jira Confluence experience
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills
  • CSM, ITIL, or AgileSafe a plus 
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills 
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills 
  • Management consulting or government contracting experience is preferred 

Education and Certificates: 

  • BS in Business, or related field 
  • Active PMP 

MUST BE A US CITIZEN due to clearance requirements
