Position Overview

The Business Process Analyst will be partnering with leaders and individual contributors across the Source to Pay process, which is supported by the Coupa technology platform. With an added focus in data analysis, governance, system support and optimizing process design, this role will be pivotal in advancing the Source to Pay vision. The Business Process Analyst will act as a liaison between business teams and work with technology teams to ensure requirements are met.In addition, they will be leading improvement projects, as well as product launches through all phases of the project lifecycle. The Business Process Analyst will provide first level day to day support to users and subject matter experts. This role will research gaps in functionality, gather requirements and develop recommendations to both technical and business teams.

This is a hybrid position; working arrangement will be a blend of onsite work in our office location and remote.

Essential Duties

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with key business owners to analyze existing business processes and systems to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
  • Leads less complex efforts to analyze, troubleshoot, and improve our growing business with system enhancements and new implementations; including process and system design, integration testing, validation, user training, and post go-live support.
  • Gather, consolidate, analyze, and document business, technical and functional requirements. Translate needs of the business into applicable system design solutions.
  • Develop detailed documentation (e.g., gap analyses, business process flow charts, decision tables, features, business requirements documents, etc.) to aid in the development and refinement of new tools and processes.
  • Developed user test plans and working with core team members to validate user acceptance testing against documented business requirements.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  • Quantify projected return on investment; including quality and efficiency gains to assist in prioritization of projects.
  • Develops a detailed understanding of the data, processes, and systems utilized by the business area and ability to document complex business processes.
  • Provide production support to end users by troubleshooting system issues, analyzing processes, andrecommending course of action.
  • Act in a project manager capacity for projects where a project lead isn't identified.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business to provide system design solutions and process changes.
  • Provide input and support during the implementation phase; including carrying out software user testing, composing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and/or conducting employee training.
  • Serve as frontline support in troubleshooting process and systems issues and provide ongoing operational support, as required.
  • Understand backlog of projects and features; collaborate with business partners and Platform Manager to identify release candidates and roadmaps.
  • Provide project status updates in both verbal and written format.
  • Assist the project manager in developing detailed project timelines or leading projects as appropriate.
  • Work with minimal guidance from manager to deliver on low to medium complexity projects.
  • Work with team members to develop project timelines and scope to make best use of resources.
  • Overcome low to medium complex challenges to move projects forward.
  • Efficiently manages multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a heightened ability to build relationships and understanding short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Deliver well-organized, informative presentations, and requirement documents.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work designated schedule.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience implementing and enhancing technology systems to meet business strategies.
  • 1 years of experience working alongside business units in developing multiyear process and technology roadmaps.
  • 1 years of experience involving business analysis, process development, or project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Source to Pay systems (i.e. sourcing, contracting, risk, contingent labor, catalog, or procure to pay)
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization platforms.
  • CPSM or professional procurement certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certifications.
  • Project Management Professional certification or other project Management credentials.

Salary Range:

$67,000.00 - $109,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
