I am working with an exciting venture-backed startup, who build autonomous solutions for the space industry.
Specializing in cutting-edge satellite technology & solutions, they offer a range of innovative products designed to enhance satellite operations and improve the management of satellite fleets.
These solutions help satellite operators and organizations in the space industry optimize their resources, streamline their processes, and ultimately achieve greater efficiency and performance. Their products cover areas such as satellite tracking, data management, and communication, enabling their clients to better monitor and control their satellite assets. Their technology plays a crucial role in advancing satellite operations and contributing to the ongoing development of space exploration and communication.
Role Responsibilities

• Study relevant proposal opportunities and solicitations
• Write and prepare clear and articulate winning government proposals
• Articulate the company strategy and overall company goals in submitted proposals
• Translate complex technical concepts to understandable text
• Manage the preparation of proposals and ensure all the required material and documents are in place
• Push forward the preparation of multiple proposals at a time
• Stay up to date with the industry trends and technologies
• Stay up to date with the government interests and funding areas of interests
• Research and organize information in a coherent and professional fashion
• Work with the BD team and customers to translate requirements into proposals
• Meet proposal deadlines
• Generate monthly progress reports and success metrics for the executive team

About You
You are an energetic and experience proposal writer with prior space industry and defense knowledge. You are able to push forward multiple proposals at a time and submit them on time. You are comfortable researching unfamiliar topics and can stay up to date with the latest space industry trends and challenges. You are able to incorporate that knowledge into your proposals and tie them to the company’s overall strategy. You are able to translate complex space industry concepts into plain language, demonstrate value of the proposal ideas and solutions, and articulate their alignment of the industry and defense needs. You are able and willing to generate and deliver regular success metrics and progress reports to the company leadership.
Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, journalism, communications, English, or a related field
• 3 years of proven track record proposal writing experience for space and defense industry
• Excellent computer and organizational skills
• Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Space industry and defense knowledge is a must

Job Location
We are open to considering candidates in the Denver, CO and Washington, DC metro areas. Our client will provide a competitive relocation package for non-local candidates. For well-qualified candidates who cannot relocate to these areas, we may consider the ability to work remotely full-time on a case-by-case basis.

Total compensation for this role is base salary company equity
Colorado base salary range: $80,000 - $160,000
