We're working with a rapidly evolving startup at the forefront of synthetic data generation for enhancing AI/ML model training in computer vision. Their innovative solutions are set to transform the aerospace and defense sectors. We're on the hunt for an ambitious Business Development Director with proven ability for securing and expanding business within the Air Force and Space Force. This role is crucial for our growth and strategic direction, offering a unique chance to join at an early stage and be part of the growth of the federal division.
What You'll Do:
  • Pioneer Growth: Open doors to new opportunities within the USSF and USAF, maintaining an active and strategic opportunity pipeline.
  • Achieve Sales Excellence: Hit sales goals by masterfully managing capture opportunities.
  • Build Relationships: Forge and deepen partnerships, gaining trust and influencing decision-makers.
  • Strategic Influence: Align solutions with customer strategies, guiding their acquisition and requirements.
  • Lead Customer Engagement: Be the face of the brand in all customer interactions, from RFI/RFP to negotiations, ensuring memorable presentations and demos.
  • Insightful Leadership: Provide leadership with accurate sales forecasting, highlighting key achievements and identifying future opportunities.
Who You Are:
  • Experienced Professional: With a Bachelor’s Degree and over 10 years of experience with the U.S. Air or Space Forces, you bring a wealth of knowledge in space operations, ISR, or GEOINT.
  • Business Development Savvy: You have at least 5 years in a role driving full lifecycle business development, with proven success stories.
  • Startup Ready: Thriving in fast-paced environments, you're entrepreneurial, collaborative, and ready to make an impact.
  • Communication Expert: Exceptional verbal and written skills, adept at high-level presentations and negotiations.
  • Security Cleared: Holding an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Nice to Have:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field or an MBA.
  • Direct experience in the USSF/USAF
  • Knowledge of commercial remote sensing, or earth observation sectors.
  • Knowledge or experience in synthetic data for AI/ML development.
