Job Title: Digital Media and Graphic Arts Intern

Job Purpose: We are seeking someone with an exceptional vision and voice, with “diamond in the rough” graphic design skills, and passion for all things social media. This person will mainly support our blulava division. In this internship, you will learn to deliver the best results for various client and internal corporate needs. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong collaborator who wants to gain a solid understanding of user-centered design, digital design guidelines, and gain exposure to meaningful and innovative experiences that push the boundaries of what’s possible, while adapting to changing demands and constraints.

***This internship is a 3 days (approx. 24 hours @$18.00hr ) work requirement. This internship requires that you work in our Pearl River NY office Tue, Wed, and Thurs.

Responsibilities:

Executing graphics requests for digital marketing pieces such as emails, banners, social media posts and web properties.
Assisting graphic designers with gathering/compiling information to complete a project.
Follows and implements EHG brand guidelines in all deliverables.
Under direction of creative leadership, responsible for executing designs within larger EHG initiatives for both client needs and internal projects

Qualifications:

We are open to rising juniors or seniors with a graphic artist or comparable degree.
Prior experience/internships at PR, Advertising, Digital/Social Marketing, Creative agencies or relevant coursework
A conceptual visual thinker with a portfolio of work that is contemporary, on trend, and reflects a wide range of design influence
Working knowledge of HTML and/or WordPress preferred

Experience working across a wide range of media including digital/social, print, event/experiential, brand identity systems, etc.
Basic skills/knowledge of key principles of typography and fonts
Exposure to UX design and/or front-end development is a plus
Basic understanding of advertising and marketing principles
Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and time-management
Team player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environment
Curious and open to others' ideas and viewpoints with a willingness to learn and take constructive feedback
A good problem solver who seeks to make improvements and learns from mistakes
The ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables
Proficiency and mastery of PowerPoint – including but not limited to template design, imagery development, consistent formatting and animation
Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator skills.
Proficiency using MS Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
A strong portfolio of both print and digital design work.

Working Environment:

Normal office environment. Travel required: estimated up to 20% of the time. May require regular evening and weekend work.
