Job Summary: 

The REACH Housing Resource Coordinator (HRC) is an administrative position that will be responsible for supporting REACH staff members in navigating available transitional housing resources (including recovery housing, motels, and enhanced shelters) on behalf of their clients. The HRC will be a resource to case managers as they work to access, navigate, and support their clients’ transition into temporary housing, such as motels, transitional housing programs, and shelters. The HRC will provide administrative support to REACH by staying current on housing application requirements, processes, system-level responses, and approaches to resolving barriers to housing. This position is responsible for data oversight and compliance requirements for several housing-related programs. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about system reformation & advocacy, creating inclusive approaches to housing & reducing barriers to services.

The nature of this position is extremely independent, requiring excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills, organization and time management skills, common sense regarding personal safety, creative thinking, multitasking, and conflict resolution skills.

· The position is (hybrid/full-time onsite), the location is ETS’ REACH- Belltown office. 

· The hours are M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm. 

· The annual salary range for this position is $79,000 to $81,000

What you contribute to this role – Responsibilities:

· Help ETS succeed in carrying out our mission through working together with other staff to transform systems of harm and inequity to create different approaches to improving community health and safety through addressing substance use and homelessness. 

· Assist with the organization-wide initiative to reimagine our interconnectedness within our community to overcome the aspects of our society and organizational culture shaped by white supremacy and settler colonialism.

· Maintain the transitional housing resources available at REACH by keeping up to date with application materials and eligibility requirements to help REACH staff expedite client access to temporary/permanent housing.

· Support South King County/Southeast team members at REACH.

· Act as a point person for vacancy notifications for temporary/permanent housing programs.

· Track all move-ins and expenses for transitional programs, including recovery housing programs and motels.

· Through case conferencing, facilitate and monitor the equitable distribution of temporary/ permanent housing resources, using prioritization methodology based on a race and equity lens.

· Develop and update an active list of transitional housing/motel resources available for REACH-connected clients by touring programs and maintaining relationships with property managers.

· Develop expertise in the laws and rights associated with housing vouchers across different cities within King County, enabling case managers to leverage these resources effectively for their clients.

· Develop a basic understanding of tenant laws and rights to better support case managers who assist clients in private market housing, permanent supportive housing, and similar settings.

· As a Back-Up Housing Resource Coordinator, participate with Coordinated Entry for All by interfacing with the system, advocate, communicate, and coordinate housing opportunities.

· As a Back-Up Housing Resource Coordinator, act as the point of contact for external housing support agencies – including the Housing Connector Program.

· As a Back-Up Housing Resource Coordinator, train, and coach staff to complete all necessary housing assessments to access transitional and permanent housing programs, including VATs, Housing Needs Forms, and Housing Narratives.

Requirements

What you bring to this role – Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent required, undergraduate degree with coursework in the social service field preferred.

· Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record required.

· Must be able to pass a Washington State Patrol criminal background check.

· A minimum of three years’ experience in work related to social work or outreach programs.

· Demonstrated ability to respectfully engage with individuals experiencing homelessness and behavioral health conditions essential.

· Experience providing services from a harm reduction perspective highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills:

o An understanding of racial justice and social equity and a commitment to helping create an equitable environment for all ETS clients and patients as well as fellow staff.

o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, patients, and staff from a wide variety of ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.

o Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/ written communication skills. 

o Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and complete tasks timely and efficiently.

o Dependable, able to work under pressure, receptive to change, willingness to learn, cooperative approach to problem solving.

o Flexible team player, with excellent attention to detail.

o Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling highly sensitive information.

o Ability to set boundaries, resolve conflict and de-escalate issues.

o Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, as well as a high level of initiative in keeping current with technological change.

Physical Requirements:

· The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl.

· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds[SN2] . Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

· Computer, photocopier, fax machine, phone and use of the program vehicles.
