Position: Mother-Baby Nurse

Job Summary: Client is seeking an experienced Mother-Baby Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in maternal and child health, as well as skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. The Mother-Baby Nurse plays a key role in providing comprehensive care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Monitor the health and well-being of mothers and infants, conducting regular assessments.
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as needed.
• Administer conscious sedation when necessary and within the scope of practice.
• Offer education and counseling to new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.
• Stay informed about the latest practices and guidelines in mother-baby care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in maternal and child health, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Valid RN license in the state of [insert state].
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
