Job description

Everas Community Services is a rapidly growing non-profit organization headquartered in Somerset, N.J., with programs located throughout the state. The population we serve includes adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, as well as complex medical and behavioral support needs. Our organization is seeking a Residential Coordinator to join our team. You will work directly with the Director of Residential Services and Group Home Manager and will have over 3 years of experience working in a community group home setting.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and support Residential Group Home Managers
  • Operate group homes in assigned region in manner that is within compliance with NJ State Licensing and Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) requirements and regulations.
  • Respond to all group home emergencies.
  • Manage staff, including, but not limited to, staff evaluations, monitoring and scheduling required staff trainings.
  • Work with managers to cover shifts as necessary.
  • Coordinates daily activity and recreation schedules ensuring follow through and completion.
  • Works flexible hours as necessary.
  • Provides ongoing support to ensure that the programs operate in compliance with established Everas policies and procedures as well as all applicable state/local/federal regulations
  • Completes routine audits of all on-site binders.
  • Manage all areas of clients medical needs; scheduling appointments, preparation and support during medical appointments, medical documentation, plan and execute all follow up requests, medication new orders, change orders, and refills. Coordinate pharmacy deliveries and handle any communication needs; etc.

This is a full time position. Individuals must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekends, evenings, and some holidays as well as manage on-call responsibilities.

Position Requirements

  • NJ DDD Certifications in: Medication Administration, Overview of Developmental Disabilities, and Preventing Abuse & Neglect
  • Experience in a NJ state licensed Department of Developmental Disabilities Group Home as a Group Home Manager or above
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of NJ State Licensing and Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) requirements and regulations
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check process
  • Must be willing to complete medical background clearance if position is offer
  • Minimum of high school diploma; some college preferred
  • Must be a leader but also a team player
  • Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of working with adults with developmental disabilities and show commitment to the ongoing relationship with the individuals you are serving
  • Willingness to meet NJ Executive Order 252, which requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster; at minimum one dose is required to begin employment with the expectation to complete subsequent doses as per recommended time frames; this requirement may be waived only in exceptional circumstances as outlined in the law.
