Evans & Dixon is Hiring a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney Near St. Louis, MO

Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney to our expanding & fast paced St. Louis office. This position will require someone who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can autonomously handle a large volume of files along with meeting strict deadlines. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the law and practice in an area that needs attorneys. If you bring us your hustle and initiative, we will mentor you with our knowledge and experience!

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering evidence and medical records in support of client strategy
  • Taking depositions of the claimant, witnesses, medical experts and other parties
  • Conducting discovery
  • Performing legal research
  • Remaining current with developments in the law
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents

Skills and Specifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience working in personal injury litigation
  • Preferred working knowledge of medical malpractice laws and procedures
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and track volume caseload with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Be able to work efficiently with corporate professionals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education and Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed and able to practice law in both Missouri & Illinois
  • Prior experience in the legal field required
